At 5:53 pm on November 2nd, Carbon County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an incident near a farm off of State Road 122 where shots were fired.  Deputies were given a description of a vehicle and suspect information.  As deputies approached they saw a vehicle fitting the description leave at a high rate of speed and head up the road towards the town of Hiawatha.  Deputies captured the vehicle and a short foot pursuit ensued.  The person of interest was quickly captured and taken into custody.

Other Carbon County Deputies responded to the scene where they found a male and female victim that had died from gun shot wounds.  Sheriff Jeff Wood reported that there were witnesses to the crime and that they have been interviewed and the investigation is on going.  At this time the identities of the 2 victims have not been released.  Stay tuned to KOAL 107.3 FM / 750 AM, KARB 98.3 FM and KRPX 95.3 FM for updates as they become available.
