Our loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, John William Barkley, age 56, passed away November 3, 2016.

He was born September 4, 1960 in Anaheim, California to Gerald and Bonnie Adams Barkley.

John married the love of his life Michelle Koncher on March 4, 2005 in Price.

John was dedicated to his maintenance job at Carbon School District for 27 years.  John loved being outside and could always find things to work on.  His biggest enjoyment was going to swap meets, car shows, and eating meals with family.  John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He was intelligent, hardworking and was prideful in his accomplishments.  John was always very informative and willing to teach.  John had sensitivity, selflessness and loyalty to his family and friends.  John was so giving to all that he was involved with.  John had such a great sense of humor with all people, work and in whatever he did.  His laugh would light up the room and he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Survived by his loving wife, Michelle Barkley, Price; step-daughter, BreAnna (Jose Leon “CC) Reid, Price; step-son, Tade (Tanika) Reid, Price; daughters, Michelle (Jed) McBride, Price, Rachelle (Ricky) Collins, Helper; father, Gerald Barkley, Price; step-mother, Jewell Barkley, Price; siblings, Donald (Robin) Rogers, Colton, Lynda (Roy) Barnett, Price, Denny Rogers, Price, Julie (Gary) Green, Price, Gary (Brooke) Barkley, Price; and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Adams.

Funeral service, Tuesday, November 8, 2016, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of John online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
