Miss Bruin Point, MaKinzey Cross is hosting Family Fun Night on Friday, November 11 at the Carbon County Fairgrounds and Event Center located at 310 South Fairgrounds from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

There will be games, fish pond, photo booth, pie a cop, tours of the fire truck and other fun activities. The cost for the entire night is $5.00 per person or $20.00 for a family of five. Attendees can also purchase single event tickets at five for $1.00, $3.00 for a pie a cop, $3.00 for dinner which consists of a hot dog, chips and drink.

Cross’s platform is There is no excuse for Domestic Abuse which is very close to her heart because she once suffered abuse at the hands of her biological father when she was younger. She has since received help to better understand the situation and prides herself in becoming a survivor. Her experience shaped her into the strong young lady she is today. She looks forward to sharing her story with other so that they can see that they do not have to tolerate abuse and there is help available.

Proceeds from this event will help Cross attend the Miss Teen Utah International pageant set to take place in Salt Lake City on January 20 and 21.

Cross is a freshman at Carbon High School and the daughter of Brandi Cross and Shay Young.
