TJ died November 20, 2016 comfortably at his home after complications with black lung disease. He was born in Price and spent most of his life in Carbon County except for five years he lived in Wyoming and seven years in Colorado.
TJ loved coal mining, especially the long wall, as well as hunting, fishing, working on his home and garden, and providing for his family. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball, softball, football, wrestling, and bowling. He was never intimidated by a challenge and loved having projects. He touched people’s lives in so many subtle (and some not-so-subtle) and profound ways. We are so proud of him.
TJ is survived by his loving wife Teena Kae (Boren) Jaramillo; children Todd (Trina), Chad (Jami), and Cody (Kendra) (with first wife Charlene Compagni), Nick (Theresa), Desiree’, and Robbie (with Teena); brothers Richard, Rennie (Cheryl), and Greg (Darla); step-mother Joyce (Steele) Jaramillo; 17 grandchildren and step grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Francis Jaramillo, biological mother June Margaret Weir, and grandson Nathan Charles Jaramillo.
He did not wish to have a public funeral or memorial service, but TJ would have liked for those who cared about him to pay their final respects by helping someone in need. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
