According to Carbon County Sheriff’s Department, on Sunday evening, November, 27, 2016 first responders were dispatched to a vehicle accident at approximately 6:15 pm near Benches Road in Consumers Canyon.
Upon arrival Sheriff’s Deputies located a truck that had gone off a nearly 200-foot cliff. There were two victims involved in this accident.
Donald David Ethan Winter an 18-year-old male from Ferron was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Winter leaves behind his parents, Troy and Cresta Winter and six siblings.
The second victim, whose name has not yet been released was transported to Castleview Hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
As per the Sheriff’s Department the cause of the accident was due to weather related conditions. Drugs or alcohol were not suspected by investigating officials.
