The USU Eastern Theatre Department presents their last production for the year entitled The Game’s Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays by Ken Ludwig – under the direction of Dr. Corey Ewan. The play will take place at 7:30 pm on December 1st through the 3rd and December 8th through the 10th at the Peterson Black Box Theatre inside the Central Instruction Building.

This is a whodunit during the Christmas Holiday production. Josh DeMie (Dem-me), who plays the main character William Gillette explains the storyline, “The production is a murder mystery, in the style of Sherlock Holmes, it follows William Gillette who played Sherlock Holmes over 1300 times in his 30-year career and he has invited some guests over to celebrate Christmas Eve and a murder takes place.” This is a hilarious and quirky alternative to your standard holiday entertainment and is sure to entertain audience members till the very end.

Stage Manager, Madison Olsen detailed the performance dates, “So performance dates are December 1st through the 3rd and the 8th through the 10th. Performances will take place in the Peterson Black Box Theatre in our new instructional building on campus.” The Peterson Black Box has limited seating available so audience members are urged to arrive when the box office opens at 7:00 pm.

“Prices are $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for senior citizens, $5.00 for high school students and other university students, $3.00 for children and $1.00 for USU-Eastern students with their current student ID,” stated Olsen.

The next production for the USU Eastern Theatre Department will take place in February 2017 entitled The Secret Garden.
