Rodney W. Whitlock, loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, died unexpectedly December 13, 2016.

Rod was born February 20, 1952, to Garren and Louise Webb Whitlock in Dragerton, Utah.

He worked in several coal mines in Utah and Wyoming.

Rod married Elizabeth Palacios, and they had two children – Randy and Michelle. Rod and Liz later divorced but remained close friends.

He is survived by his son, Randy, Price, Utah; his daughter, Michelle (Mica) Cope, Juliaetta, Idaho; and his grandchildren, Harley, Elizabeth and Dalton Cope. He is survived by his sisters Linda Gallup, Delta, Colorado; Carol (Johnny) Herrera, Salt Lake City, Utah; Cindy Whitlock and Sandra (Ross) Walk, East Carbon, Utah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rod was preceded in death by his parents, Garren and Louise, and his brother, Randy.
