The Carbon Lady Dinos closed out the home portion of their schedule with a win as they blasted through Canyon View Falcons 41-29 Friday night at Carbon High School.

Holding Canyon View under singled digits in each of the four quarters, the Lady Dinos turned defense into offense as they improved to 6-1 in league play with the win. Connecting on 14 field goals, Carbon also finished an efficient 10-12 from the free throw line.

Lindsey Blanc totaled a game-high 14 points to go along with three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Cyene Bigelow again reached double-figures with 10 points and also added seven boards. Jordan Bianco scored eight, and McKenna Sorenson ended with six.

Up 18-13 at the end of the first half, the Lady Dinos added to their advantage with a 13-9 run in the third. The fourth quarter was a formality for Carbon as they recorded their sixth win of the region season.

Friday’s win moves the Lady Dinos one step closer to claiming at least a share of the Region 12 championship. With only one game remaining on the regular season slate, a win Friday against Juab would clinch at least the No. 2 seed.
