The Emery County Business Chamber presented the Large Business Award of the Year to Emery Medical Center.
The clinic accommodates a large group of individuals from the small farm towns that surround Castle Dale, as well as mine and power plant workers, becoming a well-established facility among residents.

“It’s kind of a collective effort. People take health of them and their loved ones extremely seriously so when they come to Emery Medical Center I think they trust their health concerns will be addressed and their experience from beginning to end will be one that keeps them coming back,” said Gabriel Sermon, P.A-C. “In addition to providing family health, which includes any screening, pediatrics, kindergarten physicals, immunizations, sports physicals, we also provide women’s health, we have occupational medicine, physical therapy, we have onsite laboratory and we also provide x-ray services here.”

Located at 90 West Main Street in Castle Dale, the clinic employees a physician, physical therapist, two physician assistants and a nurse practitioner.

What started years and years ago in a trailer has now grown into a thriving clinic that serves the citizens in Emery County. “We’ve really grown and expanded. We have a really big beautiful building now that we’re in. It’s definitely come from the humble beginnings to where we are at now. I think that has shown a lot of what we can do and that people in this area trust us to get their medical care,” said Sermon.

They clinic has been in business long enough to what limitations they have at the clinic as Sermon explains, “We have a very good relationship with the emergency department staff and with the EMTs. So when there is something that is not appropriate for the Urgent Care setting or Family Practice setting we will definitely realize that and we’ll get them to the place they need to be, which is usually the Emergency Room.”
