Following a lengthy break the Carbon Lady Dinos continued the golf season with a second place finish at the Skyline Resort Tuesday afternoon in Fairview.

Ending with a 126 team score Carbon finished 18 points behind first place Juab. Richfield followed in third with 118 points. North Sanpete and Canyon View rounded out the field with 104 and 101 points.

Aubrey Fausett posted the team’s high score with a 34-point performance. Jordan Bianco helped push the Lady Dinos with a 32, while Indie Gardner scored 31. Lani Davis rounded out the team’s fourth score with a 29.

Wednesday’s meet marked the first region competition since April 4 at Sleepy Ridge, home of this year’s state championship site. Carbon battled to a third place finish with a final score of 214 points. Juab ran away with the meet win as they scored 255 points, followed by Richfield’s 221 point second place performance.

In preparation for Tuesday’s region meet the Lady Dinos squared off with Spanish Fork last Thursday in a head-to-head exhibition. Carbon managed to grab a slight 221-219 victory, using the traditional Modified Stableford system.

Carbon will continue the season on Thursday as they play host to the lone home meet of the year. The team will wrap up region play next Wednesday with a trip to Cedar Ridge in Cedar City, the home course for Canyon View.
