The Division of Wildlife Resources is excited to host the Gals and Guns free shooting clinic for women 16 years of age and older. The event will be held on Saturday, May 20 beginning at 9:00 am at their offices located at 319 North Carbonville Road in Price.
“This is really a chance, kind of an introductory course for people to get familiar with firearms. You know if you have experience shooting rifles maybe you want to try hand guns or shot guns, this is a great venue for that,” said Conservation Outreach Manager, Mark Jacobsen. “This particular event is limited to 30 people. We still have spots available; we still have about seven or eight spots available. We really want to get it full so we can have as many people come out and enjoy a day of shooting as we can.”

The instruction will start the day off with safety, the different types of firearms and how they work, shooting positions and other topics. “In the morning we are going to have kind of a classroom seminar with some hands on tutorials. You will be able to handle some unloaded firearms, get familiar with them, see how they work. Try out different shooting positions-things like
