Carbon County is still wrestling with their budget woes. After looking at every line item and department, they are looking at restructuring some departments and not positions that have retired. They are also increasing non-tax income with renting part of the new building to the DMV and the old courthouse to a private tenant. The new 7th District Courthouse will be paid by the State court system including the maintenance.
