On May 25, 2017, at approximately 8:10 A.M., a Helper City Police Department officer responded to the area of D. Street in Helper City following the report of a dog that had passed away under suspicious circumstances. The animal was transported by the owner to a local veterinarian who located a pellet in the heart of the dog.

The dog, “Jazman,” a six year old red heeler, was in a fenced enclosure in its own yard at the time, which made this a targeted attack.
