Lela Fay Thacker Henrie, our loving 99-year-old mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on June 2 2017.

She was born 14 Sept 1917 in Strawberry, Duchesne, Utah to William Romanzo and Lovina Puzey Mott.

Lela married Howard LeRoy Thacker on 28 Nov. 1936 in Duchesne, UT. They were sealed on 25 July 1987 in the Provo Temple. She graduated as Valedictorian of her Class in May 1937. After living in Duchesne for three years, Lela and Howard moved to Price in 1941, where they raised their family. Howard died in Dec 1990. Lela later married Ephraim Henrie on 14 Oct

2000. They spent 10 wonderful years together. Eph died on 23 Feb 2011.

Lela was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions in her ward and stake. She loved the gospel, her family and genealogy.

Lela worked in a Bakery, Rexall Drug, Peterson Candy Company, Slaugh Floral and finally for Office Equipment.

She served as a leader in the PTA. She loved visits from her children and grandchildren, family gatherings, music, singing and dancing, and spending time with family at her son’s cabin in Scofield. She loved watching the Lawrence Welk show, and the Andy Williams and Perry Como Christmas Specials. She enjoyed genealogy, crossword puzzles, reading and making memory albums.

Preceded in death by her parents, husbands Howard and Eph, 2 sisters, 1 brother, son, Billy; and a son-in-law.

Survived by her children, Thelda (Jack, deceased) Wimmer, Price, UT, Lonnie Thacker, Salt Lake City, UT. Arbra (David) Wall, Mountain Green, UT, Stanley H. Thacker, Cottonwood

Heights/St. George, UT, Nedra (Carey) Seal, Ogden, UT. She has 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. The family extends their appreciation to Symbii Hospice and Beehive Home staff for their tender-loving care.

Funeral service, Wednesday, June 7, 2017, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home at 233 East Main Street in Price where the family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
