Carbon High School junior Cody Lowe has been selected to the baseball 3A All-State Second Team, while senior Gavin Robinett was tabbed as an honorable mention.
During a standout junior campaign, Lowe led the Dinos with a .368 batting average, which included 28 hits. During the year he also accumulated a .449 on-base-percentage, and a .605 slugging-percentage. In 24 of the team’s 26 game’s Lowe stole seven bases.
In the field Lowe also proved his worth by racking up an .852 field percentage and recording 23 putouts.
Robinett provided a consistent bat for the Dinos throughout the season as he finished with a .317 average and a team best nine doubles. Registering 26 hits and one home run, Robinett also brought in 13 runs.
Both Lowe and Robinett were voted as First Team Region 12 members for their contributions. The 3A All-State teams were selected by each of the coaches in the classification and the Deseret News selects a MVP from the group.
