The Price Kiwanis Club Annual Rubber-Duck Race will take place at Pleasant Valley Days on Saturday, July 1. The race will begin at 2:30 pm at the town of Clear Creek and end in Scofield.
The fifteen plus yearly race brings in proceeds from the $5.00 Ducky adoptions, along with the big radio auction funds in the spring which allow Kiwanis Club to help financially with the Sub for Santa program, educational costs for children in need of eyeglasses and/or hearing aids, plus host the free September Kid’s Day in the park. The organization’s main focus is to give children a chance to grow, learn, experience and succeed.
The Rubber-Duck Race first-place winner will win $1,000.00, second place will be awarded with $500.00, third will be given $300.00, while fourth place receives $200.00 and to not be unnoticed the last duck to cross the finish line will collect $100.00. Need not be present to win.
Individuals who would like to adopt a duck may do so by purchasing tickets from any Kiwanis member or visit Castle Country Radio station on Carbonville Road.
