It’s that time again for Castle Country Radio Station third annual So You Think You Can Sync. This entertaining and unique competition will take place on Saturday, July 29 during Price City’s International Days celebration held at Washington Park.
Individuals and/or groups will have an opportunity to lip sync to their favorite song and a song chosen by Castle Country Radio. The song provided by the radio station is chosen by a blind draw and contestants will receive the song on a CD so that they have time to prepare. All songs are to be no longer than three and one-half minutes. The four-person panel of judges have been advised to make deductions on a contestant’s scorecard if their song runs over the allotted time. Contestants are responsible for providing their song choice on a single CD to the radio station no later than Thursday, July 20.
Contestants will be judged in three categories: originality which consists of dance moves, costumes and props. Next is appearance, which is audience appeal, eye contact along with rhythm and finally, lip sync abilities.
Cash awards will be awarded to the top three individuals and/or groups with third place receiving $250.00, second place will be awarded $500.00 and the champion will receive bragging rights along with $1,000.00. The competition is limited to 12 individuals/groups with spots filling up very quickly.
