Huntington City would like to invite everyone out for their annual Heritage Days celebration set to begin on Saturday, July 1 till Tuesday, July 4.
Things kick off on Saturday morning at 9:30 am with a Best Shot Competition at Seely Farms up Huntington Canyon, all ages are invited to participate. Other activities during the celebration will be held at the city park such as the Pet contest at 2:30 pm, Baby contest at 3:30 pm, various games and competitions for the kids at 4:30 pm. A delicious dinner will be served at 5:30 pm for guests to purchase for a cost of $5.00 a plate or $20.00 for a family of five, live entertainment will be provided during dinner by the Val Jensen Band.
On Sunday, July 2 a Fireside will be held at the LDS Stake Center on Main Street at 7:00 pm with guest speaker Lond Wakefield.
Monday evening will kick off activities at 5:00 pm at the city park with a volleyball tournament, ice cream social and live entertainment by No Limits. The rodeo grounds will feature a horseshoe tournament at 7:00 pm. The 5K Color Run/Walk will start at 7:30 pm sharp, participants are asked to meet at Center Street and 400 East no later than 7:15 pm. There will be a kid’s bike light parade at 9:15 pm beginning at Center Street and will finish up with their own firework display at the City Park baseball field.
Independence Day will begin with the raising of the American flag at 7:30 am at the park, followed by breakfast from 7:30 am to 9:00 am, the cost is $5.00 a plate or $20.00 for a family of five. The annual parade will begin promptly at 10:00 am and proceed along Main Street. After the parade guests can head to the park where there will be free kids attractions and live entertainment provided by Wasatch Country Pickers and Hypno Hick show, plus the annual lawn mower races at the Junior High football field. The celebration will close with their annual fireworks display at the rodeo grounds.
