Ricky Neil and Bobby Sandoval secured first place in the annual SEUPA Energy Days Horseshoes Tournament Tuesday evening at the Carbon County Fairgrounds Event Center.

Competing against 19 other teams, the Sandovals managed to go unbeaten in the double-elimination format. Clinton Badback and Dusty Lofley finished in second, while Jim Noyes and Sonny Buscarini rounded out the top three.

Tuesday’s tournament was the second in a series of consecutive weekly tournaments, which will wrap up this weekend. Up next will be the annual Community Daze tournament in East Carbon on Saturday, July 8.

Saturday’s tournament will feature both a singles (single elimination) and doubles (double elimination) competition.  Registration will take place after the parade, and the singles portion is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m..
