LouAnn Guarascio Gomez, age 72, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Price.

She was born June 30, 1945 in Price, Utah to Louie and Mary Basso Guarascio. LouAnn was the 3rd of 8 children, and went on to become a mother of 2 of her own.

LouAnn is survived by her daughter, Shawna (Hooper) Coleman of Carlsbad, NM; son, Chance (Cassi) Gomez of Price, Utah; four grandchildren, Adicia (Shawna), & Astasia, Makalah, & Hunter (Chance). She is also survived by her 7 siblings; Angela Duricy, Dominic Guarascio, Wendell Christensen, Tina Walker, Sharon Higgs, Gary Christensen and Don Russell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Gomez Jr., as well as her parents; and step-son, Ricci Gomez.

A cherished mother and grandmother (Nana), LouAnn enjoyed playing in her yard and garden, as well as preparing incredible meals for her friends and family. She enjoyed going for a quick ride through the local scenery, or a long trip to see something new. Her kindness was always abundant, and her words positive. LouAnn loved to play games, and could always be found playing cards around a family table.

A memorial service celebrating LouAnn’s life will be held Friday, July 28, 2017, 3:00 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
