Utah Jazz rookie Tony Bradley will be making an appearance in Carbon County on Tuesday, August 1 at 1:30 pm at the B-DAC on the campus of USU-Eastern.
Bradley, who was acquired in a draft day trade with the Los Angeles Lakers, was part of the North Carolina Tar heels National Championship team in 2017. Posting averages of 7.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, Bradley was an key contributor off of the bench in his only collegiate season.
The event will run in conjunction with the Junior Jazz program through Carbon County Recreation. It will be free for all to attend, and Bradley will also give youth instruction on fundamentals related to the game of basketball.
The Jazz acquired the draft rights to Bradley after he was selected 28th overall by the Lakers in June’s NBA Draft. Utah sent the draft rights to Josh Hart (30th overall) and Thomas Bryant (42nd overall) to Los Angeles.
During his freshman campaign Bradley became the first player in UNC history 150-or-more rebounds in a single-season with more offensive than defensive rebounds. In high high school Bradley was the 2016 Florida Mr. Basketball and Gatorade Player of the year. He also appeared in the Mcdonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic as a senior.
