The Emery County Fair is sure to be a great time with entertainment, events and activities for the entire family. The fair kicks off on Thursday, August 3 and runs through till Saturday, August 5 at the Emery County Fairgrounds located at 75 South 400 East in Castle Dale.
Thursday will feature a free swim day at the Aquatic Center, Shining Stars Talent Show, Community Theatre production and the Emery County Sheriff’s Office Cook-off for a Cause, the proceeds earned will help Rian Cloward, a 14-year-old Emery County girl who has been diagnosed with ALL leukemia, and Kina Jewkes, a young girl in our community who recently received a liver transplant.
On Friday activities and events will start at 11:00 am with the opening of the kids corner, baby contest, Hypno Kick, a mentalist, monster truck rides, bounce houses, Pony rides and vendors will be set up and ready for visitors to purchase items such as jewelry, homemade crafts and food.
Saturday will feature a 5k at 6:30 am that is sponsored by Emery Cheerleaders. A car show, parade, cornhole tournament, fashion show, mentalist, horseshoe tournament, plus a slow draw race. The weekends event will close with a Heroes Never Forgotten Tribute Concert with Ryan Shupe and Collin Raye.
