Utah State University is returning for the second year in a row to the Price Airport for a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) oriented Aggie Aviation Adventure on Thursday, August 10 through Saturday, August 12. There will only be 12 spots available for interested youth ages 12 to 20 years old. The camp will be held at the Civil Air Patrol hangar at the Carbon County Airport off Airport Road.
A generous grant has allowed camp officials to offer half-price to the 12 individuals at $150.00, which is $50.00 less than last year. Campers will receive a t-shirt, sports bag, water bottle, commemorative coin and lunch will be provided each day, including a family lunch on Saturday.
Campers will receive hands-on experience in activities geared around STEM, such as flying at the controls of a USU aircraft, learn about aircraft structure, discover how airplanes fly and get the chance to fly a helicopter and drone. This is an amazing opportunity to become a civilian or military pilot.
