The Office of Lieutenant Governor Spencer J. Cox and World Center Utah present 25K Tour on Wednesday, August 9, Emery County will host their event from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Emery County Courthouse and that same evening Carbon County will be held at 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the USU-Eastern Jennifer Leavitt Student Center.
Anyone considering opening a new business, current business owners, job seekers and veterans are urged to attend this event. The launch tour for the Castle Country area will feature over 30 companies that are resources to support growth to local businesses. Carbon County will have a Job Fair with over a hundred jobs, plus resources for local people such as the HEAT program and support in writing a resume.
In his 2017 State of the State address, Governor Gary R. Herbert challenged Utah businesses to build 25,000 jobs throughout rural Utah in the next four years. This initiative brings partners from all corners of the state to engage with rural communities and explore new opportunities. Guests will have an opportunity to speak with the Lt Governor, Director of World Trade Center Utah and representatives from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. This is a chance to voice to them what they as elected officials can do to support local business in Carbon and Emery Counties.
Any questions about this event in Carbon County may contact Tami Ursenbach at the Office of Economic Development and Emery County residents may contact the Emery County Business Chamber at (435) 381-2547.
