The speaker for the general BEAR meeting on August 17 will be Dominec Ibanez who works with Waste and Water Logistics.

He will speak about the history of the company and how it affects the local economy. The business was started by Jesse McCourt as a part time endeavor and he has grown his business not only by good management but by adding additional services people needed, making it a customer driven enterprise.

When he and his wife started it he was working for Nelco Construction and he labored to do both jobs. That went on for about a year as the porta potty part of the business started to grow. Then in 2004 he left Nelco and ran with it full time, while still holding down a part time night job driving a truck for Savage.

Their story is a tale of persistence and sacrifice to achieve their dream. The presentation will take place at the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center Alumni Room and it will start at 8:00 a.m. and last about one hour. The public is welcome.

Light refreshments will be served at both sessions.
