The Carbon County Clerk’s office have completed the official count of ballots in the Primary Election held on August 15.

The Republican primary race for Utah’s 3rd Congressional District showed Chris Herrod with 40.46 percent, close behind is current Provo Mayor, John Curtis at 38.60 percent, and Tanner Ainge brought in 20.94 percent of the votes.

Official count for the Price City Mayor seat showed Michael Kourianos on top with 37.67 percent of the votes, followed by Rick Adams with 20.49 percent, current Mayor Joe Piccolo came in with 14.08 percent, current City Council member, Rick Davis brought in 13.98 percent, shadowed by Boyd Marsing with 13.79 percent.

The numbers for Price City Council had current City Council member, Terry Willis with 28.98 percent of the votes, followed by Amy Knott-Jespersen with 23.54 percent, Joe Christman brought in 22.67 percent and Jesse Sloan brought in 17.18 percent.

The East Carbon Mayor seat was a landslide for Harry Goslin Jr with 64.12 percent, current Mayor Doug Parson, had about a quarter of the votes at 25.57 percent, while James Smith collected 10.31 percent.

Results for East Carbon City Council shows Larry Wood with 29.83 percent, followed by Karla Young at 24.86 percent, Donald McCarthy brought in 17.21 percent, shadowed by Phillip Holt with 16.44 percent, Ella Morris finished with 6.88 percent and capping off with 4.79 percent was Ronald Johnson.

General election will take place on November 7.
