The Carbon County Fair played host to its annual horseshoes tournament, which brought in 12 total teams, this past Saturday at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
Bill Mitchell and Guy Neena claimed the top prize as they defeated Dustin and Mike Lofley in the championship contest. BJ Davis and Kevin Powell rounded out the top three, and the placers for the event.
This year’s tournament featured seven teams from the Castle Country, four from Blanding and another from Payson. The 12 teams competed in a double-elimination tournament throughout the afternoon.
As the summer inches closer to its end point, Price City will play host to another tournament that will work as a fundraiser for Jobs Daughter International at Washington Park. Taking place on Saturday, Sept. 9, the tournament will run in the form of double-elimination beginning with registration at 12:00 p.m..
