On Friday, September 1 Helper City will host their monthly First Friday event beginning at 6:00 pm inside the city’s historical Main Street Park.

There will be live entertainment to enjoy by Will Smith on the stage located in the Main Street Park, guests are encouraged to bring their chairs and/or blankets.

Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to stroll the art galleries along main street to discover the many talented artists in our area. Obtain a passport to get stamped at each gallery you visit for a chance to win prizes.

Canine lovers can enter their doggies in a costume contest with signups at 5:30 pm in front of the Main Street Park. The categories include best costume, best behaved, funniest, cutest and best dog/human combo costume.

A fun art project will be held to build a dog art project. Plus, Olivia Rodriquez will host a writing workshop for anyone interested in perfecting their writing skills.

A showing of “Best In Show” a movie, rated PG-13 will be held at the Rio Theatre located at 210 South Main Street.
