Social media has once again help spread the news of a semi-truck with Godfrey Trucking located in West Valley that is currently gathering supplies to transport to displace residents in Texas.
Local residents, Ashley Hoffman and Karen Martino Basso quickly obtained and shared the details of the semi-truck’s departure and how citizens can help flood victims. They both have been in contact with a close friend, who resides in Texas, who will receive the items at Grace Woodlands Church. The church is located in an area that was hit hard by the Hurricane Harvey.
Hoffman and Martino-Basso have setup Hard Hat Furniture, located at 21 West Main Street in Price, as their central hub to gather any and all items from now until Thursday, August 31 at 4:00 pm. Both women realize it’s short notice, but they know and have seen, how amazing our community is when it comes to recognizing when someone is in dire need.
The supplies needed range from canned foods, water, baby formula, pet food, phone charges, new and used clothing, personal hygiene supplies, new blankets and pillows. Consider any items that someone would need if they were abruptly evacuated from their homes.
If there is a need, an additional delivery will be organized. Any questions call Ashley at (801) 368-0020.
