The Carbon Lady Dinos delivered a stellar performance defensively, but ultimately fell just short in a 1-0 setback to the Delta Rabbits Tuesday afternoon in a Region 14 home contest.

Hoping to expand on last Thursday’s 1-0 double-overtime victory over American Leadership, the Lady Dinos managed to shutout the No. 1 team in the region through the first half. Delta’s Savannah Nielson found the back of the net in the second half to lift the Rabbits.

Following Tuesday’s loss Carbon now sits at 2-3 in Region 14 play, which puts them in third place. The win for Delta keeps them at the top of the standings, now at 4-0. Juab is in second at 3-1.

The Lady Dinos will take the rest of the week off before returning to the field on Tuesday, Sept. 12 on the road against Juab. Tuesday’s contest will be the first of two straight on the road.
