Fire continues to move internally in the Tie Fork drainage burning heavy dead and down fuels in the mixed conifer and aspen stands. The fire will continue to burn within Chicken Hollow, Corral and Partridge Canyons and Tie Fork drainage through torching and backing for the next couple of days before cooler weather moves over the fire area.
Crews will continue to patrol and monitor the fire perimeter and complete fire suppression repair.
The fire is 78% contained and 11,067 acres in size.
The following areas are open: Forest Road #042 (Indian Creek Road), between Sheep Creek Road(#051) and its junction with Forest Road #043; and on Forest Road #043, between its junction with Forest Road #042, south to its junction with Forest Road #131.
