Locked in a tight score for what had become the Region 15 championship contest, the Lady Spartans entered the break trailing 1-0. Alexis Winter scored for a team best 17th time this season in Tuesday’s loss. Chloe Sermon also found the back of the net for her second goal.
Brynlee Golding, Kassidy Alder and Nicole Nelson all scored one goal for the Templars. The win marks the eighth consecutive for Manti, a streak that started back on Aug. 24. The two goals scored by Emery is the most the team has allowed in that time frame.
With only two games remaining in division play the Lady Spartans will look to rebound from Tuesday’s loss on Thursday against the Grand Red Devils. Emery won the first meeting between the two schools 4-1 back on Sept. 12.
