Castle Country Radio would like to give voters a chance to get to know their candidates through a series of Meet the Carbon County Municipal Candidates events. The second assembly will be held Tuesday, October 10 at 5:00 pm at the USU-Eastern Jennifer Leavitt Student Center Alumni Room.

East Carbon residents will be able to spend an evening getting to know their municipal candidates. The two mayoral candidates are current Mayor Doug Parsons and his opponent, Harry Goslin Jr.; the four individuals running for city council is Larry Wood, Karla Young, Donald McCarty and Phillip Holt.

The series will be held in a Q&A format, with questions submitted by voters prior to the event via email. This is a chance for community members to get involved, learn where candidates stand on issues before the General Election on November 7.

This event differs than the one that was held back in August for two reasons, all municipal candidates will be in attendance and community members can sit in on the event if they choose. Voters can listen live on KOAL FM 107.3/AM 750 or access the live stream on http://koalitv.com/

If voters would like to submit a question to the candidates they may do so by emailing election2017@koal.net. As a reminder, not all questions will be presented due to the numbers of candidates and allotted time during each series.

Castle Country Radio would like to recognize and thank the sponsors of this event Castleview Hospital, Carbon County Chamber of Commerce and Utah State University.
