The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their monthly luncheon on Thursday, October 19 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Ascension St. Matthews Church located at 522 Homestead Boulevard. Luncheon will be catered by Big Don’s Pizza.

Keynote speaker is Troy Hatch who will speak on the topic of Mining on the Rise.

Business spotlight of the month showcases four businesses this month, Banasky Insurance, who is an independent insurance agency; Balance Rocky Eatery & Pub located on historic Main Street; Sutherlands, who specializes in home improvement and building materials and Carbon Print & Design, who prides themselves in high quality products and services.

Community Service Spotlight is United Mine Workers of American which represents workers in and around underground coal mines, surface mining operations and preparation plants.

Guests interested in attending the luncheon must RSVP no later than Monday, October 16 by contacting the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce office at (435) 637-2788. The cost to attend is $14.00 for chamber members and $20.00 for non-members, no shows will be billed.
