Castleview Hospital and the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the arrival of W. Marcus Brann, M.D. Tuesday afternoon with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony at 945 Hospital Drive, Suite No. 3.

Dr. Brann joined Castleview Hospital from the Heart and Lung Institute of Utah on Nov. 6. Along with 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Brann is the first cardiologist to join Castleview’s medical staff.

“Dr. Brann has years of experience in treating a range of complex heart conditions, and he is an excellent addition to our hospital team,” said Mark Holyoak, CEO of Castleview Hospital in a press release earlier this month.“Heart disease is an increasing concern in our area, and Dr. Brann’s expertise will be important as Castleview Hospital strives to meet our region’s evolving healthcare needs and make our community healthier.”

Dr. Brann graduated from Dartmouth Medical School, in Hanover New Hampshire. He completed his residency and a cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Brann is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease. He will be treating patients with heart valve disease, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, aortic aneurysms, arrhythmia, peripheral vascular disease, congenital heart disease, hypertension and more.
