A fun holiday themed fundraising event, “The Polar Express” has been put together by the Carbon High Choir for all of the children in the Castle Country area. The event will take place on Friday, December 15 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Mont Harmon Auditorium. Children may attend the evening in their favorite Christmas pajamas.

“We’re going to have a whole bunch of activities for the kids. We’ll have games, hot chocolate, cookies, coloring, karaoke,” said Choir Historian, Bethany Prettyman. “There is going to be three different kid’s trains that they can ride on.” The children will be given a chance to get a picture with a train and the conductor plus receive a souvenir bell to remember the night. The kids will be able to wind-down and enjoy the showing of “The Polar Express” movie, which is rated G.

The cost for the event will be $10.00 per child and $5.00 for each additional child of the same family. Parents are invited to stay with their children for the entire event but can choose to leave their child and return later to pick them up. This is a perfect time for parents to maybe do some last-minute Christmas Shopping. Event organizers ask that toddlers that are not potty-trained will need to be accompanied by an adult.

The Vocal Jazz group is trying to earn money to cover the costs to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
