The Emery County Sheriff’s Office Shop-With-A-Cop event took place on December 14, where they were able to help several disadvantaged children in the county for Christmas.

This year ECSO had 20 law enforcement officers gather at the local Wal-mart, along with 19 children, who were able to benefit from the program by making their Christmas wishes come true. They took to the aisles with an officer searching for that perfect gift for themselves, but often times would think of their parents and siblings too.

The annual event could not be possible without the generous donations from local businesses and citizens. The local Wal-mart is a huge sponsor each year and in November they presented ECSO with a check for $1,250.00 to help fund a portion of the program.

Uniformed officers look forward to this event because they are able to interact with the kids in a positive way, but more importantly it’s a fun environment that helps each of youngsters during the Christmas season.
