The U.S. Forest Service would like to notify the public of some issues that are affecting a couple of roads in the Manti La Sal National Forest.

The La Sal Loop Road will be closed between the Mason Draw Campground and the Gateway Road until March 5th. Road work will start up again in May and continue until June 14. During the construction of the road drivers could encounter up to 30-minute delays.

As for closer to home, there has been a 200 yard stretch of road on Ferron Mountain that has been completely covered in ice. The closure to all full-sized vehicles is on the north side of the culvert crossing just below Wrigley Creek, between Dairy Point and Willow Lake. Any ATVs, side-by-sides and snowmobiles are allowed to travel through but are urged to use extreme caution if travel is necessary.

The Forest Service will keep the public informed of any other road changes and/or additional closures.
