The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce held the second annual “Best Spot to Holiday Shop” Business Competition during the holiday season. This friendly contest is a tool that can be of use in all aspects of business by determining the strengths and weaknesses within the company.

This year the “Best Spot to Holiday Shop” had just little over 30 businesses that participated in the competition. They were all shooting for the top prize of being introduced as the winner during the 2018 January Chamber of Commerce luncheon, plus receive an award that can proudly be displayed inside the business, in addition to a free one-year membership with the chamber. The best part of receiving the top honor is the bragging rights, where the “Best Local Spot to Holiday Shop” title can be used in all of the business’s advertisements and signage.

This year’s winner was awarded to Twenty-Two Clothing, a business that hasn’t even hit their one-year mark but has shown to be a great addition to the community. The store is owned and operated by Brittnie Arroyo whose goal is to empower women of every size to feel beautiful and happy. She able to do this by offering quality merchandise for women at an affordable price. Her store is open from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday and is located at 11 West Main Street in Price.

The CCCC gave Honorable Mention to TougHer Apparel, Apple Country Crafts and Hibbett Sports. When visiting any of these businesses be sure to congratulate and thank them for doing business in Carbon County.
