The Emery Spartans continued the swim season by playing host to Carbon, South Sevier and North Sanpete Tuesday at the Emery County Aquatic Center in Castle Dale.

On the boy’s side of the pool the Spartans cruised to a first place victory by outscoring second place Carbon 374-269. North Sanpete finished in third with 105 points, followed by South Sevier’s 91.

The Emery Lady Spartans also claimed first place after accumulating 416 points. Carbon again finished in second with 370 points. North Sanpete ended third with 97 and South Sevier completed the field of four with 49.

Each individual event was won by a member of either Emery or Carbon. As a team the Spartans won 13 of the events, while Carbon claimed first in the other nine.

With less than a month remaining in the season, the Spartans will return to the pool on Thursday with another home meet. The Dinos will next participate on Jan. 17 on the road against Uintah.
