The Emery Spartans continued the swim season with the final regular season home meet of the season Tuesday afternoon at the Emery County Aquatic Center in Castle Dale.

Competing against Payson, Grand and American Leadership Academy, the Spartans once again encountered success on both sides of the pool. Seniors from both the boys and girls teams were also honored in a highlight of the afternoon.

The Lady Spartans continued their dominance by earning yet another team win, this time accumulating 345 points. Payson finished a distant second with 249 points, followed by third place Grand’s 180. American Leadership Academy completed the field of four with 110 points.

Payson claimed first place on the boy’s side of the track with a final total of 316 points. Emery finished in a close second with 283 points. Grand again finished in third after accumulating 244 points, and American Leadership Academy again ended in fourth.

With the final home meet now in the books, the Spartans will turn their attention to the final regular season meet of the year on Thursday. Emery will travel to Richfield to complete the region season in the final prep meet for the Region Championship on Jan. 25.
