The Carbon Dinos played host to the Delta Rabbits and Grand Red Devils in the final regular season swim meet of the season Saturday afternoon at the Desert Wave Pool in Price.

Recording nine first place finishes in the 11 events the Lady Dinos easily claimed first place in the overall category with 229 points. Grand finished in second with 129 points, and Delta rounded out the field of three with 13.

A strong finish in the 400 yard free relay allowed Grand to take home first place on the boy’s side of the pool, ending with 160 points. Delta finished a slim four-points back in second, while the Dinos ended in third with 141 points.

Being that Saturday’s home meet was the final of the regular season, each Carbon senior was recognized for their contributions to the program.

Carbon will next return to the pool on Thursday, Jan. 25 for the region championship, which will take place at the Desert Wave Pool. The state qualifiers will then move on to the state championship finale on Feb.8.
