The Carbon Dinos qualified 16 different wrestlers for the State Championship Tournament at the Divisional Round Friday and Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.

Casey Shiner finished a perfect 3-0 to take home first place in the 132-pound weight class. Bradley Judd ended 2-1 in a second place performance at 138, while Bryce Judd, Connor Fausett, and Triton Abeyta all finished third.

All participating wrestlers needed to finish inside the top eight of their weight class in order to move on to the State Championship on Feb. 9 and 10 at Utah Valley University. The 3A classification was divided into two groups, taking the top 16 wrestlers from each weight class.
