The Desert Thunder Raceway has released the schedule for the 2018 campaign, which will feature four races, including the annual Castle Country Clash in September.
“The track is going to be in great shape, as it always is,” said Howard. “It is the widest track we run on anywhere by 20 feet or more. We can actually run six wide if we really wanted to, which you won’t see anywhere else.”
The racing season will once again feature back-to-back events on Friday and Saturday. The first race of the season is set for April 13 and 14, with another weekend scheduled April 28 and 29. The schedule will resume on May 11 and 12 before taking two months off for the finale set for Sept. 28 and 29.
After hosting just a single set of races in 2016, the track increased the number of active weekends to three in 2017. The four sets of races in 2018 will be the most the track has played host to since 2015.
