It’s time for the 36th Annual Price City St Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 17 at 12:00 pm on Main Street. Entries in the parade will need to check-in to line-up at a 11:00 am on the corner of 600 East and 100 South.

“We got a lot of truly unique entries this year it’s going to be a lot of fun. For the first time, in a long time it actually falls on St. Patrick’s Day this year, March 17,” said Parade Chairman, Megan Marshall. “It starts at noon on Main Street, it stretches from 600 East down to First West. You have to come check it out and it is not too late to turn in entries for your floats as well.” There will be more coverage with parade announcers stationed on every block along the parade route, plus there will be drones catching all of the action from above.

One of the great benefits in participating is it’s a wonderful advertisement opportunity for any business, sports team, schools and civic organizations. Marshall explains how to register, “The best route is to go to Price City’s website, just www.priceutah.net . The registration form is on there, the rules and regulations are on there. It’s got several different ways that you can submit that form to me down at Sutherlands or online and I’ll get you a great spot in line.” Participants are strongly urged to read all the rules and regulations to keep spectators safe throughout the parade route.

The types of parade entries can range from a float, to vehicles or even a group just walking the parade route. “All of the entries compete because there’s different categories that they can win and really nice impressive trophies that the Castle Valley Center makes up for us. So, people really get in to it we’ve got a couple of entries that have snagged the same category year after year. But we got some new players this time and they’re really gunning for those awards.” Entries are judged and awarded prior to the beginning of the parade in the following categories: Mayor’s Choice, Most Beautiful, Funniest, Most Festive and Chairman’s Choice.
