Fierce Fighting Championship returned to the Carbon County Event Center to present “P-Town Beatdown”, the promotion’s seventh event Saturday evening.

An action packed card that featured four local fighters, including two in the main event, took place in front of a near capacity crowd. Five of the nine fights ended early by either TKO or submission.

Nate Kearsley defeated local fighter Cy Nelson by unanimous decision in the main event to close out the evening. The win improves Kearsley to 3-2, while the loss sends Nelson to 3-3 as professionals.

Mark “Blanca” Chavez defeated Johnboy McComas in the co-main for the FFC 145-pound amateur title. Chavez unloaded a furious ground-and-pound attack late in the first round. McComas was unable to answer the bell for the second round, leaving Chavez as the winner.

Brandon Rease earned an unanimous decision victory over Thomas Prestriedge to win the other amateur belt up for grabs at 125-pounds. Rease demonstrated complete cage control throughout the fight to earn the nod on all three judge’s scorecards.
