The Emery Spartans evened their Region 15 record with a 2-0 victory over the Manti Templars Thursday afternoon in Castle Dale.

Parker Sermon scored his sixth goal of the season, while Zak Anderson also found the back of the net to lead the Spartans to a win. Holding a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half, Emery added one more in the final session to put the game away.

Senior Tayvan Cook registered his third shutout of the season at goalkeeper. In two region games Cook has allowed just one goal.

Now 1-1-0 in region play, the Spartans will take the remainder of the week before returning Tuesday with a road tilt against North Sanpete. The next home contest will come on Thursday, March 22 at home against North Sanpete.
