The Carbon Dinos completed a season-series sweep of the Delta Rabbits with a dominating 12-0 victory on the road Friday afternoon.

Playing for the third time in only four days, the Dinos were as sharp as ever in a five inning romp of the Rabbits. Carbon won the first meeting 11-10 on Tuesday, using a six-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Cody Lowe allowed just one hit, fanned five batters and gave up one walk in a complete game effort, improving to 3-0 on the mound. In six pitching appearances this season Lowe has delivered a 0.44 ERA.

Nate Olson again helped spark the Carbon bats, finishing 3-3 with two RBIs and a double. Olson is now hitting .350 on the season, totaling four doubles, one triple and eight RBIs in the process.

Collin Lewis registered two singles and two RBIs in three plate appearances. Anthony Jones connected on a double to bring in two runs, finishing 1-2 with a walk in three tries.

Friday’s win moves Carbon to 4-0 in region play, giving the team its fifth straight victory overall. Juab and Union join the Dinos at the top of division with unbeaten 4-0 records.

Carbon will return to the field on Wednesday to meet the Union Cougars in a highly important league tilt. The two teams will meet again in Helper on Friday.
