Shannon Baker continued to add to her dominating 2018 resume’ as the Carbon Lady Dinos rolled past the competition for a first place finish at the Uintah Invitational Friday afternoon in Vernal.

Competing against 13 other schools representing multiple classifications throughout Utah and Wyoming, the Lady Dinos accumulated 135 points. Morgan finished in a distant second with 88 points, followed by Big Piney with 87. Pinedale and Rock Springs rounded out the top five.

Baker logged first place finishes in the 200 and 400 meters, while finishing second in the long jump. Teaming up with Madelyn Christensen, Makenna Blanc and Emma Christensen, Baker also finished second in the 4X400.

Blanc also logged multiple points for Carbon, finishing second behind Baker in the 400 meters, and third in the 200 meters.

Emma Christensen secured first place in the high jump with a final metric leap of 1.52. Jessa Holyoak grabbed first in the long jump.

Emma Haddock helped bolster the final point total with a second place nod int eh 3200 meters. Marianna Molinar also ended second in the javelin.

On the boy’s side of the track the Dinos used multiple depth finishes to end in seventh with 36 points. Rock Springs took the top spot with 109, followed by Morgan’s 104, and Uintah’s 103.
