Cali Fossat smashed three home runs and recorded seven RBIs as the Carbon Lady Dinos defeated the Juab Wasps 17-11 Tuesday afternoon in Nephi.

Playing for a chance to move into first place in Region 14, the Lady Dinos wasted no time developing a lead with a seven-run first inning. Carbon added seven more in the fifth frame to clinch the wire-to-wire victory.

Fossat finished a stellar 4-5 in the box, adding a double with her three home runs. Kaytlyn Cripps logged five RBIs, two doubles and also went yard in a 3-5 performance. Dekota Kraushaar also notched two RBIs, ending 2-4 in the process.

Brooke Moosman was awarded the win on the mound after allowing 16 hits in 5.1 innings of work. Kraushaar finished the remaining five outs to help secure the win.

Carbon now sits at the top of the Region 14 standings at 4-1 in division play. The loss for Juab is their first of the region slate, dipping their league mark to 3-1. The two teams will meet again in the regular season finale on May 3.

Carbon will return to the field on Thursday for a non-region battle with North Sevier at home. The next region tilt will take place on April 17 against American Leadership Academy.
